On Wednesday, September 20, the festive meeting to mark the start of the transformation of the high-end office complex Bastion Zuid in 's-Hertogenbosch took place. The event took place at the construction site. BiermanHenket made the design for the transformation and the interior. The Bastion Zuid transformation team has already started the realization of the Bastion Zuid office complex.

As the official start of construction, André Köster (Koninklijke Woudenberg, a JAJO company), Vincent Hofs (Bastion Zuid B.V., part of the Renschdael Group) and Ralph Geers (Alderman for Economy, Living Environment and Environmental Affairs at the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch) announced the first piece of concrete poured for the new floor of the building.

André Köster, General Manager at Koninklijke Woudenberg, says enthusiastically: “In recent months we have worked out the plan with the construction partners. We are pleased to now be able to start the transformation of the Bastion Zuid office complex. Vincent Hofs, Bastion Zuid B.V. adds “We are delighted to be able to create a new icon for the city in this beautiful place.” Ralph Geers, Alderman for Economy, Living Environment and Environmental Affairs at the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch, says: “This complex has a lot of potential and is a great opportunity to transform into a high-end office complex in the city center of 's-Hertogenbosch. We hope to be here again in a year's time in a beautiful new building.”

Repurposing the Bastion Zuid complex 

The Bastion Zuid office complex is an office building from the late 1980s located on the Zuidwal in the city center of Den Bosch opposite the Bossche Broek Natura2000 area. It is a unique center location, with a view over the old fortifications of the North Brabant capital on one side and a view over the city center on the other side.

Royal Woudenberg is transforming the building into a high-end office complex for contracted tenant Stichd on behalf of Bastion Zuid B.V., part of the Renschdael Group. In total, approximately 10,000 m2 of office space and underground parking will be renovated. It will be a modern green and sustainable office environment that meets BREAAM Excellent and high WELL requirements.

The afternoon ended with a festive drink at which involved parties and other guests came together to celebrate the start of the transformation of Bastion Zuid.
